On a very windy day at a sacred site in Arizona, I had an encounter and message from the Spirit of the Wind.
After giving my sacred offering at the entrance to the sacred site, I stood at a location with a magnificent view of the surrounding sacred mountains in the valley.
My intention was to connect with the spirit of the land and wind. A storm was happening at the time, and this was the strongest wind I felt since moving here. It was difficult to stand upright in the fierce wind.
As I was battling to stand upright, I heard a gentle voice in my head offer some divine guidance.
It said “when you battle and resist staying upright in the strong wind, your strength is being weakened, and your sense of balance is being diminished. This is happening because you are ‘resisting’ the wind by standing with the front of your body battling the full force of the wind.
Notice the difference when you turn parallel to the wind”. As I turned parallel to the wind, with my narrower side facing the wind, I felt a huge shift in my ‘interaction’ with the wind.
The wind asked me to notice how I felt. I had greater stability, strength, and balance. I felt a more ‘peaceful interaction’ with the wind because of standing in this position. When facing the wind head on, I felt more combative and resistant to the wind.
I was receiving a value lesson that was more than just how to best stand in a windstorm. I was receiving a holistic life lesson about how to interact with challenges, conflicts, and resistances in my life.
I understand that life’s challenges are all lessons in how to ‘react’ in ways that help me to still stay strong and balanced in who I am as a divine soul on the earth school of constant learning.
I had the option to interact with life’s challenges in a more balanced way, from a ‘position of least resistance’ that let me retain my inner strength, resilience, and balance in life on a body, mind, and spiritual level.
This choice was in stark contrast to the results of reacting by resisting strongly and battling life’s challenges, which would result in weakening my inner strength and balance.
This divine experience showed me various lessons:
